How do I find results of a car auction in New York?

Is it possible to find what the results of a used car auction were in New York? I am looking to buy a car and the car fax says the dealer bought it at an auction in New York. I was wondering if there was any way to find out what they bought it for. Thanks

Very likely impossible.
Big dealer auctions, years ago, used to send out “market reports” which listed every car & mileage sold during the last 2 weeks. But that was before the internet and was only for dealers.
You have almost zero chance of finding that information.

If it was at a police auction or government auction then you can probably check out GovernmentAuctions.org – they have a full list of auctions for cars throughout the country. I have used them in the past and you can see old auctions and new.
